An Outfit For Graduation

Dresses

This past few weeks I have been getting ready for my Graduation. It seems really bizarre to be Graduating in January, it snowed last year! At least its a bit of a reunion after 6 months.

On top of the fact that it is likely to be freezing, I also need to incorporate buttons in this outfit. This is because they hood part of the gown needs to clip onto something.

1. Long Sleeve Chiffon Dress – Boohoo.com

This would be a great outfit especially as it’s going to be a little chillier. I didn’t choose this dress because I wanted something that stands out under my gown a little more.

2. Pleated Shirt Dress – Yumi

This is the dress I have bought for next week. Ever time I look at it it’s growing on me! I will feel a lot more comfortable sticking to the traditional colours and hopwfully it will work with the gown.

3. Checked Print Dress – Zara

I chose this tartan print as it will stand out against the plain black gown. Zara is always failsafe for me, the only con of this dress as the neckline is a little too low to clip the hood onto.

4. Black and White Swing Shirt Dress – Dorothy Perkins

This would have been my second option, only problem is it looks a little short, especially for this formal occasion!

Hope this might be helpful to anyone, next stop… shoes!

I love the first choice, and actually that’d be good for the office too. I find it very difficult to find long sleeved outfits that I like for the office so I usually have to layer up (the office is freezing!) x
